Got a dream project you'd like to tackle? Nervous about trying a new technique or something big? Let’s do it together! This group class will allow students to bring in the project of their choice, whether it's a new cast on or something that's been languishing in the WIP pile. Work through questions or tricky sections with the guidance of an instructor and the encouragement of your fellow knitters.
If you need help figuring out a new project to cast on, we would highly recommend the Alpine Bloom tee for an advanced beginner/intermediate knitter. If you wanted something easier but still exciting enough for a newer knitter why not try Anker's summer sweater
Other simple but thoughtful patterns we love are by Elizabeth Smith. If you are looking for an engaging accessory try Blue Sky Fibers projects. We would be happy to help you pick out a project, and you can look at a huge number of samples at the shop. We stand behind the designers and yarns we carry. We want you to enjoy your knitting and have success at home. These classes are a great way to gain confidence at any level.
Jennifer is an excellent knitter who is capable of helping you decode patterns, fix mistakes, and make decisions about ripping out. Jennifer and Natalie have similar knitting philosophies and styles (if we can save it without massive ripping, we will!). During our finish it COVID contest, Jennifer knit more yards than EVERYONE! Her enthusiasm for knitting, and willingness to try any pattern no matter how difficult it is makes her the perfect teacher to get you out of a jam, or make sure you are on the straight and narrow. She will also power knit some stockinette stitch or on some socks.
As an added bonus if you sign up for 3 or more sessions you will get a $10 store credit for each session you purchase to use in the month of June.
The fine print:
Your yarn must have been purchased from Knitting off Broadway. Our reasoning for this: We want you to be happy with your finished project, and we have experience with the yarns we carry. I am speaking from over 20 years of personal experience.
No refunds or transferring of class dates unless WE cancel the class.
If less than 3 students are enrolled 7 days before, the class will be cancelled and you will be refunded or you will have the option to switch dates.
The prices here are for one, two hour session with Jennifer and they will meet at the shop.
