The new Little Spuds Collection

We were able to see the latest at Blue Sky Alpaca and we fell in love with everything they had to offer this year!  We have decided to share this new collection with you first.  Natalie plans to have this entire collection knit up for the store by fall!

Both the Honey Bear Hoodie and the Bundle me Blankie is sure to knit up quickly inOuter!

The Pint-Sized Pullover and Roundabout Romper would make lovely gifts or just fun knits!  The pullover is knit in Sweater, and the romper is knit in Fine.

Boo Boo Bottoms and pixie hats in Spud & Chloe Fine are always too cute!

We brought back new Soak Boxes from the trade show!

This limited edition Soakbox includes a 3oz bottle of Yuzu Soak, stylishly matched with 2 balls of Erika Knight British Blue wool, and two patterns to choose from.  Natalie already knit up the little stripped hat!  To shop in our online store clickhere

We are hosting a Knits for Boys Trunk show until June 19th.
Boys love to be knitted for, too!  With the designs in this book, you will have fun creating stylish knits that the boys in your life will be excited to wear. This book contains 29 patterns for sweaters, tops, vests, hoodies, mittens, hats, and more that boys will want to wear sized from 4-12. It also features an incredible reference section on how to knit for kids: choosing colors and styles, sizing, how to make a sweater "grow with" your child, how to find a comfortable fit, and even tutorials on simple additions to any design like hoods and installing zippers.  Kate is known for her clear pattern instructions and has also included a tutorial section for special techniques which make the patterns accessible for all levels of knitters.  To view all 29 patterns click here.  We have plenty of copies in the store!

For the Girly-Girl in your life...

Natalie did just finish a very girly top- Fancy Ruffles also by Kate Oats.  We have copies of this pattern in the store.  Natalie knit hers in Baah! Shasta but any true worsted weight will work!
We have a fun Spud & Chloe trunk show in the store featuring Sweater light worsted yarn!

Sweater is a cotton and wool blend, washable and dryable yarn.  It comes in fun colors, that all coordinate together perfectly!

The Busy Baby set in Fine and Lovey Dovey, in Sweater make layering a snap!   Once babies get going with new-found locomotion… they just don't stop!

The Lucky Number Pullover is perfect for that little person in your life, as is Cat's Pajamas bag!  We know some big people who would like the cat bag too- both knit in Sweater.

The Half-Pint Dress and School Colors Hoodie have endless fun color options in Sweater.

The Weekender Sweater, and The Wave in Fine.  There are many fun details in each sweater!

Light and breezy, swingin' and swayin', this garments are constructed simply for a style that is simply wearable!  Try the Esther Tunic or the Valentine Cardigan.

The Woodland Pullover, and The Campfire Hoodie have a relaxed fun vibe for everyday living (and knitting!).

Best friends Spud & Chloë are available as one cute toy pattern knit in Sweater.
SPUD: He loves Chloë. Our wallflower star is a bit of a curmudgeon, but who can blame this special sheep, with his unique twisted loop stitch coat.  CHLOË: With a sunny disposition and sweet smile, in her darling jumper and wee Mary Janes, Chloë is going to be a beloved knitting companion and a well-cuddled doll.

The Seeing Stars Blanket is a must see!  We all love how modern these modified granny squares can be!  With instructions for three sizes, this snugly stunner features a total of 17 shades of Sweater! The crocheted hexagons are joined as you go, and every motif has its own unique color combination.
Spaces still remain in these two great classes!

The Foolproof Cowl Class with Donna

We were all intrigued by a cowl with no cast-on or bind-off.  There is also  no knitting in the round, no sewing, no grafting, no provisional cast-on, no picking up stitches.  Take the class to find out how this is all possible!  This project was originally a mystery KAL.  You will need two skeins of contrasting fingering weight yarn, 250 yards of each color will make the size shown here, as well as the size of the sample we have in the store.  Donna used Madelinetosh Sock, but you could also use FinoCanopy Fingering, or Koigu, just to name a few!
There is no homework for this class, but you must download or print off a copy of the pattern which you can find here.  This class meets Saturdays, July 18th, & 25 from, 10:00-11:00 A.M., and August 15th from 9:30-11:00 A.M. for $45.  No materials are included in the class fee.

This is the basic Fair Isle class for intermediate knitters.  This is knit on size 6 needles using sport weight yarn.  Natalie is using Swans Island Superwash Sport, but Alpaca Silk, Titus, orRoad to China Light would also be excellent and sumptuous choices.
This cowl is knit in a tube, so the first class will focus on the crochet chain provisional CO and intro into the Fair Isle technique, and the second class will focus on what to do with floats.  This cowl has both traditional Fair Isle motifs as well as more tricky non-traditional patterns.  To see more pattern details go here.
This class will meet on Wednesdays, June 24 from 9:00-11:00 A.M. and Wednesday July 15th from 10:00-11:00 A.M. for $30.  No materials are included in this class fee.  There is no homework but you need to have all your materials ready before class.

The fine print:
Class fees are non-refundable unless we cancel the class.  We reserve the right to cancel the class if we do not have the minimum number of students one week  before
the start date, so please sign up early!
