Introducing Shibui Twig- and some Alchemy Favorites!

Try Shibui Twig for Summer

Our latest yarn from Shibui is a trio of favorite fibers: cashmere, fine merino, and recycled silk creating a tweedy lace-weight yarn.  To shop it in our online store clickhere.

All the staff here at Knitting off Broadway have fallen in love with the entire Shibui line this year!  We love the restrained palate, and that all the colors come in all the yarns so  you can easily mix and match!  We are also intrigued by the mix of fibers they use, and all the wonderful and modern patterns that are made just for their yarns.  We have learned that you can interchange Pebble, Twig, Cima, and Linen for most Shibui Patterns!  It depends what season you are knitting for!  Shop Twig, Shop Cima, Shop Pebble, or Shop Linen!

Square uses either 3-4 skeins Twig, or Linen.  Bevel uses 3-4 skeins in two contrasting colors of Twig.

Another wonderful Shibui Knits Trunk Show is here for a very short time!  It is being sent back Friday June 5th!

No. 35 featuring Pebble held with Cima in a Fisherman's rib.  No. 32 which we think would make a wonderful mans hat featuring Pebble.

Natalie has recently finished Mix No. 33 which uses three different colors of Pebble.  This is a slip-stitch pattern, and the different colors are carried up the side!

No. 34 featuring Stacatto and Silk Cloud, and No. 31 featuring Cima and Alpaca DK.

Finished Alchemy Projects!

Our Straw into Gold shawl is in Hemlock.  We used Pagoda instead of Lust for a textured look!

The Peacock Scarf & Paintbrush Cowl

Natalie started the Peackcok Trail Scarf last year but only recently got it completed!  It used a total of 3 skeins Silken Straw (two of one color, and one of the other), and one skein Sanctuary.  She felted it in the dryer to keep the colors rich!   This version of thePaintbrush cowl used 5 colors of Kozmos, but it looks great all in one color (you will need 2 skeins)!
